Pogo V2 Power supply

Can anyone confirm - before i get my tester out - what the outputs are on the connectors from the Pogo V2

generally i recase V3 and they are 12v out - however - looking at the back of the power supply unit on the v2 it makes a nod in the direction of 5v.

R U talking about the built-in power supply?

yes - talking about the built in power supply

Pogoplug E02's power supply gives 5 volts DC.

OK. BTW, can you please provide the pin out put of the PogoPlug Pro 02? I am planning to power mine with a 12 VDC battery.

The Pogo v3, has only two connectors from the power supply to the board.

Yellow = 12v+
Black = Ground

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The Pogo v2 - has four connectors,
Red = 5v+
Black = Ground

Is there any way to know the amps available from the 12v Pogoplug Pro? Because having a 3.5" bay would make it worth a lot more to me. For now, we have this interesting connector, only to prove a 12v switchable power supply is enough to run the hard drive, It's possible 5v off the USB 3.0 plug is receiving 5v as well.

Regardless, this is my hope. I only bought one so far but plan on buying at least five before the Winter is over. In fact that one just sits in the DVD drive bay of a desktop computer here (wired-up) because I can't make up my mind which of 5 projects is most important to press it into service.

It's the most cost-efficient upgrade to a Pogoplug v3 (likely v4 mobile when I get the right capacitors too!) I can think of...

Thanks G. Did you check that second link I showed? I don't know why they call that an "SAS" end when it plugs into any 3.5" hard drive here. I came to the realization to just make my own primitive toaster with those plugs at the bottom and run the wires into any desktop and copy/backup at blazing'er speeds. But the Pogo 3's, I envision those with a 3.5" holder on each of those, for SMB and pretty much nothing else except emergency torrents. ThinClient has SATA jack, so there's another one.

Is the 3.5" toaster with USB 3.0 interface more expensive than this gadget?

A USB3 3.5" toaster, where to buy?

My watt meter measured the kitchen toaster @ 70 watts, so this is doable on an ATX power supply (oh! ba doom shhh!).
I knew you guys were joking when you said bagels and not pizza.

HAVING SAID THAT... it's not outside the realm of possibility to make a pizza box. The main CPU heat sink cooks the pizza, but before that the exhaust case fan warms the mushroom growing area, tomatoes grow through holes in the case like a Ghia pet, and a square foot wheat garden outside could be harvested by drones at lightening speed...

Yeah really, just use the drone for Dominos.

Joking aside, I'm building momentum for the day I hook up an ATX power supply to the watt meter and start plugging stuff in.

There are two places I failed:
1. I didn't get a Seagate GoFlex uni-toaster nor a case for a 3.5" hard drive, and
2. I've never found 2.5" hard drives that aren't the same price as 3.5"s.

If I had on hand some 2.5" drives they'd be directly connected to two black Pogos and one v4.

But one thing I've got "plenty" of, is various 3.5" SATA drives. Note to self, get that power supply and start testing. Goal: one week.

LOL and that looks like a small toaster, too.
