>But for this box, it is ARMv5 so I think you can boot with the Sheevaplug DTB, and see how far you will get. I would not start from Buffalo version of Lenny. Ok, will try that way....thanks, Bodhi, will let u know.by Kapt Blasto - Debian
Hi Bodhi, Well, IIRC, the latest Kernel has the Terastation _W_XL patch inside it already.... now, whether or not there is a way to make a DTB or FDT? I don't know. It would be nice to just try dropping Jessie or Stretch straight into it, but....seeing as Buffalo is using a "crippled" version of Debian Lenny....it might just be better to start from there.....and work my wayby Kapt Blasto - Debian
Hi Bodhi, Thank for your reply. I can get the Pictures, as they are at (right now) http://www.yamasita.jp/linkstation/2010/01/100111_post_250.html Here's the front of what I think my board is.http://www.yamasita.jp/linkstation/2010/01/100111_1l.jpg And the Back: http://www.yamasita.jp/linkstation/2010/01/100111_3s.jpg It is a MARVELL MV78100 Board (could be a 88f621 as a base?by Kapt Blasto - Debian
Hello All: This is my first post on here in a long while. So bear with me as I have to put up corresponding Readouts and such for you to look at. I have a Buffalo Terastation III TS-X4.0TL/R5 (Sakura) and it has the latest Buffalo FW (1.71 at this writing....) It's a 4 bay Sata II NAS drive, which I have upgraded to take 3 TB Hitachi Drives. (Hey It worked) But what I REALLY wanby Kapt Blasto - Debian
thanks Bodhi, will check it out in the morning, and let you know. BTW: Grayman4hire on this board = Qui from blog.qnology.com? If so, I need to donate a cuppa coffee to him. and of course, when I get this working again, a cuppa coffee to you at your board. Thanks again, Bodhiby Kapt Blasto - Debian
Hello Bodhi and Crew: After a recent downtime, where I had my upgraded-to-Debian-Strech Pogo V4, with Webmin 1.67(?), unplugged I plugged it in again and logged in. I had Debian Linux 9.0 (Stretch, upgraded dist from Jessie, upgraded from 3.14 from Qui's instructional from blog.qnology.com) I went into my http://POGO:10000 port and logged into WEBMIN, and it told me I had about 138 updby Kapt Blasto - Debian
Bohdi: thanks for your reply, but now it seems I have another problem that I need a photo of the serial Buds to determine...(I think I can get the photo from Arch Linux ARM's forum, however...) It seems that I might have inadvertently connected the 3.3V Bud to either the TXD Bud, or the RXD bud, by somehow SCRATCHING the protective green cover away by mistake, in a very bad spot, andby Kapt Blasto - Debian
Hi guys: Ok, now that I got my serial cable, and I got it to work in Windows 7...here's what I am facing with my PPv4 (the one with the SATA port on top!) I wiped out the first four blocks in MTD0. Now there's nothing there. So I guess what I need to do is "serial/UART" in, and feed it UBOOT, with the NANDTOOLS, somehow... What I'd like to be able to do is haveby Kapt Blasto - Debian
Got the Delivery from Banggood.com, took 14 days from Hong Kong. Anyway, plugged it into the Win 7 computer....and it was coming up a code 31, then I fiddled around with the earlier versions of the driver, and it was coming up a code 39. I was ready to chuck the cord again, but then I wondered, "well, what if my drivers for my other components were old or something....so I downloaded 3DPby Kapt Blasto - uBoot
Well, I should have gotten on here, and went to aliexpress.com like some have said... I went to Banggood.com and ordered a similar product (one that uses a PL-2303HX chip) for an arduino board, and, in the picture the "wire" ends looks like they each have 1-pin connectors, so it might be good...I don't know...they also have a US warehouse, so, if I have to return it again, it juby Kapt Blasto - uBoot
By the way....because of the "buds" on the Pogo Boards instead of a proper connector.... wouldn't it be a good idea to solder a USB-A receptacle to the "buds" and then dremel the sidewall to fit the receptacle? I tried it, but....it didn't work so well for me...but any of you might have better luck. What I put instead was a receptacle that takes a "Mini-Mby Kapt Blasto - uBoot
Dear Majic: Well that's what I thought I bought from Rakuten (formerly Buy.com) -- A Nokia CA-42 cable...and it looked like the cable, and it even had the ends like a nokia and everything... But in the end...when I couldn't get it to work with Windows 7...the driver reportedly was a for a PL2303 chip, and everytime it came up "code 10: the device cannot start" And I chby Kapt Blasto - uBoot
I have TWO POGO's 1 is the Pogo Ver4 that has the sata and the USB2 on the top. The other is the POGO MOBILE that only has the one USB2 (or is it USB3?) in the back next to the Ethernet Port. Both are now Non-operational: First the problem with the POGO ver4: In trying to follow Jeff's "Emdebian" post, I downloaded all the NAND tools, that he suggested...by Kapt Blasto - uBoot
