I've been playing with upgrading my Pro to Squeeze, using the GOGO script, but I get a failure in the DEBOOTSTRAP (IE: ar not found). I've seen another poster reference installing BINUTILS, but how does one install this on a stock Pogoplug? I've tried adding it into the 'extra packages' but it doesn't appear to be loaded before it is needed. Thanks again!by i_robot73 - Debian
Understanding the limitations of my knowledge on Linux, is there a How-To on doing a COMPLETE backup of a Pogoplug? I got one of the Buy.com $50 (Pogo-B02) and before I go hosing myself I want to get a copy of the current file system, memory, etc. off-line as a CYA.:) Appreciate the hints/tricks so farby i_robot73 - Debian
If I'm interpreting this correctly, the kernel has the necessary modules built-in for SATA, it's just the uBoot at this time I have 1) tweak 2) find tweaked varkey Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ^ The uBoot modifications cannot be incorporated > in the Kernel itself AFAIK. Ah, so though your update .DEB/Kernel may have the tweaks I'm missing the other part (UBoot modification). I'll scrounge the forum/'net for a version that may already have the tweaks (as well as being the latest/greatest available). Thanks again. The pieces are starting to fall into place here :)by i_robot73 - Debian
HellG, Have you found a solution as of yet? I (still learning & reading here) have Debian installed, but rebooting w/out the Debian HD I get squat too.by i_robot73 - uBoot
Great, thanks for the reply...It's all becoming less dark as I go here :) Appears I've got it correct: debian:~# uname -r 2.6.37.6-goflex Unfortunately, the GoFlex Net will still not boot from the included SATA connectors (either) and no lights are on (aside from the amber pulse when it doesn't boot 100% initially). Any further thoughts or kernel upgrades I could try?by i_robot73 - Debian
