A deep discharge or deep cycle lead acid would be needed. Car & similar batteries are mostly meant just to give a burst for starting, any significance discharge damages them. Lead-acid battery: Cyclesby Twi - Debian
@davygravy Looks like you forgot to edit your MAC the 2nd time. By the way, thanks for the time you take to write tutorials & answer questions. I've been planing to try a dockstar router / repeater (when I find time). Alfa awus036h RTL8187L as client, Netgear wna1100 AR9271 as AP.by Twi - Debian

Running gorgone's 2.6.35.7-dockstar on two dockstars with two UVC cameras, one with an old wifi adapter. Both cameras are identical, planning to try a Logitech c600 since logitech lists it capable of higher resolution. Communicate Deluxe gives 960x720. These webcam reviews can be helpful particularly if you need low light pictures. ID 046d:0992 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Communicate Deluxe Iby Twi - Debian

Heres a source for a ASIX 88178 USB Ethernet Adapter $15 usd instead of $29 for the one Plugable links to. Seems to work out of the box with chumby, don't know if the instructions on Plugable blog apply to this one though. petergunn Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I also noticed instructions on how to build the new asix driver on Plugable blogby Twi - Debian

There has been success with at least some USB-to-Ethernet adapters on the WDTV (it runs linux too). Found a couple pages just now by searching WDTV & USB-to-Ethernet or WDTV & USB network adapter. I've never used a USB network adapter myself. Hope this leads to something that helps.by Twi - Debian
The Pogoplug v2 is starting to look interesting at $45. I really like the small size of the dockstar too. Looks like some of the extra size with the Pogoplug v2 is the internal AC adapter. Internal picture. Anyone know of uses that will benefit / need from 256mb RAM? Torrent box?by Twi - Debian

Just ran across this Sheevaplug with DisplayLink monitor, found via this thread. Driver wiki Quite interested in how your UV16 goes. I would like a small vga screen around 5 or 7" myself but can't find much at all. Well not much that doesn't cost more then a 17" at least. I really don't want a displaylink LCD, a separate adapter is much better IMO.by Twi - Debian
Looks like the UV Plus+ UV12 is even less at $15. i haven't looked into the differences but I bet the UV12 would sufficient for any dockstar purposes. UV16 UV12 Anyone familiar with the resources required by displaylink? If it doesn't play quite well enough with the dockstar you can always use it for your pc.by Twi - Debian
If install_uboot_mtd0.sh is run offline then the flash process was not completed. 3) Its safe to rerun install_uboot_mtd0.sh script while your dockstar is online. When you ran install_uboot_mtd0.sh it should have disabled the PogoPlug service. It says "Done fixing pogoplug environment." afterwards. 1) The script needs to download several files as it goes.
