Just an FYI, if you are running a debian stretch based system installing the u-boot-tools package will install the 2016.11 version of kwboot. Rayby rayknight - uBoot
It appears that you forgot to label the root partition on the Patriot Memory stick as "rootfs" so it tries to use the internal NAND for the root filesystem. Take you Patriot Memory stick another system and use the e2label command to label the root partition as "rootfs". Rayby rayknight - Debian

Revisiting this issue yet again as it keeps popping up on my systems with only 128MB RAM. It appears that an update to initramfs-tools has a new configurable option in the /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf file. This option is RUNSIZE and is set to the default value of 10% which means less than 12MB will be available in /run on a 128MB system causing issues when reloading services. Also available from HP ftp server is a restore image which seems to require Windows to create: TITLE: Smart Zero Core Image VERSION: Z5D42019 Rev. 1 DESCRIPTION: This package contains a restore utility and image to be used with the supported Linux thin client models. The utility included in the package is designed to aid in the deployment of this image. This package contains a restby rayknight - Debian
I don't have time to look at this now, but if you want the u-boot source it can be found at ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/tcdebian/pool/thinpro40/source/uboot-t5335z.tgz. There may be other interesting source files located in that same directory. Good news is it seems to be based on a more modern u-boot 2009.08.by rayknight - Debian
Only your first line is correct, every line after that is corrupted and does not match what you were asked to enter. How did you enter the commands? You should enter each line from bodhi's post 1 line at a time.by rayknight - Debian
Don't have a lot of time right now to work on this, but I thought I would chime in with some info on the unit I have which seems to have less features than Koen's as it has no WiFi and no SATA Flash. It is marked as Model No: Tx0 Part No: 909576-01L which seems to be the Dell Wyse 3010-T00X 0MB Flash / 1GB RAM DDR3 version. Chips in addition to the SOC are as follows: Marvellby rayknight - Debian

If I recall correctly the OX820 will try to boot from SATA first, although it appears that OpenWRT uses a chain-loaded U-Boot to boot the current kernel on this hardware. You may find some useful information at https://github.com/olderzeus/Iomega-HMNHDCE that would help get a newer U-Boot. Rayby rayknight - uBoot
Looks like you're making good progress. Wish I had time to jump in and help, but I'd first have to locate the hardware in my todo pile. I also wonder how close the hardware is to the Armada 510 based HP t5335z as it might be able to share in some of your DTS modifications. Rayby rayknight - Debian

I ran into this issue again after upgrading a Dockstar from jessie to stretch and decided to try to find a more permanent solution. I resolved it as follows: Edit the /usr/share/initramfs-tools/init file and modify line with 'mount -t tmpfs -o "noexec,nosuid,size=10%,mode=0755" tmpfs /run' by changing 10% to 15% Run the command: update-initramfs -u Rerun command from bootby rayknight - Debian

From my experience with OMV its a memory hog and you're likely getting out of memory issues unless you have swap configured and even then it will be constantly swapping. The PHP based webui used doesn't seem to be happy running in the limited 128MB RAM available on the GoFlexNet. It may be OK with one of the 256MB kirkwood boxes. Rayby rayknight - Debian
If you are trying to build kwboot your are going about all wrong. First clone bodhi's GitHub repository: # git clone https://github.com/mibodhi/u-boot-kirkwood.git Then run the following steps: # cd u-boot-kirkwood.git # cp configs/pogo_v4_defconfig .config # make oldconfig # make tools-only When this completes kwboot will be in the u-boot-kirkwood/tools directory. Received the unit I purchased on ebay today. It's a brand new unit and in my opinion in violation of the GPL as none of the documents included tell me how to get the source code. A search of Dell's website isn't helpful as it appears they have spun the Kace unit off to Quest KACE which appears to be oriented toward the software and have no mention of the M300 unit. I'll have to dig around a see if I can find the backup u-boot partition I have. I haven't done anything with my units for a while and can't recall the final state, but I did have debian installed on one of the units but every time I accessed a disk on the USB bus the kernel crashed!
