easiest way would be to get an image of an old debian usb stick (ext2 lenny i think) to boot from with the current uboot. hi, i have some goflex net with the doozan uboot from 2010. U-Boot 2010.09 (Oct 23 2010 - 11:53:10) Marvell-GoflexNet by Jeff Doozan, Peter Carmichael unfortunately there is no rescue in flash and i dont have an old debian usb stick (ext2 lenny i think) anymore. so i cant boot anything to update the uboot and use a new debian system. how can i manage to update the uboot? i have a serby jay - uBoot

hi bodhi, thanks a lot for the command :-) i have another little problem: goflexnet with 2016.05 uboot, linux-4.11.3-kirkwood-tld-2-bodhi Debian-4.4.0-kirkwood-tld-1-rootfs-bodhi with the 2010 uboot the device got the 1000Mb/s link without problems. with the new uboot there ist mostly just a 100Mb/s link. after dis- and reconnecting the lan cable some times, it switches to 1000. ubby jay - uBoot

re, i also found that at the goflexnet there is the already elsewhere reported: ./fw_printenv: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by ./fw_printenv) jay p.s. for me thats ok, i just wanted to report as asked...by jay - uBoot
re, now i tested on a goflex net: e2fsck works. the busyboxes works both. but the actual one lacks support of mke2fs while the former (smaller) did... jay.by jay - uBoot

hi, i already installed the mtd-tools and already have mtd0, mtd0ro and mtdblock0 in dev, same fpr mtd1 and the mtd structure is the same as in stock. i also can boot the stock fw already. i just want to edit some settings and scripts... so i only want to mount mtd1 (and maybe 0) in debian... it seems that debian not knows the jffs2, or the pogo fs isnt... jay ps: root@debian:/#by jay - Debian

hi bodhi, thanks. then i misinterpreted the info. i will try again with first updating to kernel 4.1... meanwhile i tried to finish the upgrade by creating the /etc/udev/kernel-upgrade file and complete the dist-upgrade now it boots fine with the 3.17 kernel. but one bad thing: on boot: [ OK ] Started LSB: Starts klogd. hi, i installed the Debian-3.17.0-oxnas-tld-1-rootfs-bodhi.tar.bz2 package and rebooted. all fine. then i made a dist-upgrade to jessie and got the warning: Please upgrade your kernel before or while upgrading udev.
