Yeaaah I tought I tried it, but I made a typo so I did it again and.. I worked! setenv set_bootargs_usb 'setenv bootargs console=$console root=$usb_root rootdelay=$rootdelay rootfstype=$rootfstype $mtdparts usb-storage.quirks=0x0bc2:0x3321:u' Thank youu for all your patients and help! I can't say it enough!by devinger - uBoot
Not sure if I did it right, I tried this: setenv set_bootargs_usb 'setenv bootargs console=$console root=$usb_root rootdelay=$rootdelay rootfstype=$rootfstype $mtdparts $usb-storage.quirks=0x0bc2:0x3321:u' and got a few seconds after loading the system and plugging in the hdd the usual kernel panic. But, the dmesg changes! :) [ 0.000000] Kernel command line: console=ttySby devinger - uBoot
You are right, it doesn't take it as a parameter: [ 0.000000] Kernel command line: console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/sda1 rootdelay=10 rootfstype=ext3 mtdparts=orion_nand:1M(u-boot),4M(uImage),32M(rootfs),-(data) I got the device id like this: # lsusb Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0781:5571 SanDisk Corp. Cruzer Fit Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 00by devinger - uBoot
@grayman I tried to use input the parameters. I am sure I did some input wrong but I don't know what. 192.168.178.22 is my pc, 192.168.178.24 is the pogoplug This is what I used: arcNumber=3960 baudrate=115200 setenv bootcmd 'run bootcmd_usb; run bootcmd_mmc; run bootcmd_sata; reset' setenv bootcmd_mmc 'run mmc_init; run set_bootargs_mmc; run mmc_boot' setenby devinger - uBoot
I allready tried that: U-Boot 2014.07-tld-1 (Jul 18 2014 - 00:59:45) Pogoplug V4 SoC: Kirkwood 88F6192_A1 DRAM: 128 MiB WARNING: Caches not enabled NAND: 128 MiB MMC: kwsdio: 0 In: serial Out: serial Err: serial Net: egiga0 Hit any key to stop autoboot: 0 Pogov4> setenv usb_custom_params 'usb-storage.quirks=0x0bc2:0x3321:u' Pogov4> setenv set_boby devinger - uBoot
How and where do I enter it in bootargs? Directly in uboot or somewhere else because fw_setenv is not accepted as a command :) The pogoplug now restarts correctly with boot and after waiting untill the countdown is finished. I didn't check it correctly Thanks again for all the time and effortby devinger - uBoot

Great that you want to help! I used your tutorial before and it worked with the same pogoplug :) after connecting my hdd caused the pogoplug to crash with arch I tried to reinstall the software. I did it once before (reinstalling everything) and it all went fine. Hello everyone, I was trying to do a reinstall of arch on my pogoplug when the power in the part of the house where the pogolpug was connected went down. My pogo didn't start correctly so I soldered a serial cable. I can see what is happening via putty. Could somebody please help me to get the pogoplug working again? I am not a very experienced user.
