Ah, ok. That explains it quite well. ;) I got the one from this thread. I assume, this one is the right one: http://bitly.com/1Sat557 (taken from your link below your message) Thanks!by marlemion - uBoot
Hm, I do not have any dtb environment: U-Boot 2014.07-tld-4-test-1 (Aug 22 2015 - 03:37:57) ZyXEL NSA310 1-Bay Power Media Server SoC: Kirkwood 88F6281_A1 DRAM: 256 MiB WARNING: Caches not enabled NAND: 128 MiB *** Warning - bad CRC, using default environment In: serial Out: serial Err: serial Net: No ethernet found. Hey, so this is the first time I try this firmware on my nsa310. I was able to boot the old kirkwood-dt kernel without any problem. When starting the fdt kernel, though, it always boots as a nsa325 instead of a nsa310. I am using arch linux. arcNumber=4022. What else am I missing? Where can I set the dts file in arch or uboot?by marlemion - uBoot
Hey bodhi, fair enough, this is understandable. I was hoping for netconsole uboot, but I certainly can live without it. Would you consider the posted NSA310 uboot as stable? In that case I would migrate from stock uboot to be able to boot DT-kernels. Thanks for your awesome work!by marlemion - uBoot
Hey guys, I was wondering, if there will be any future development regarding the NSA310. I will have some time and access to my device during Christmas, so I might be able to test. I found this: https://github.com/niamster/uboot-marvell-openrd-ultimate/blob/master/ReleaseNotes.txt The relevant patch is here: https://github.com/niamster/uboot-marvell-openrd-ultimate/commit/0f693cf4bby marlemion - uBoot
I am sorry, I cannot tell you right now. But AFAIR it hasn't. Is this the TDC brand: http://i1.c.dk/pics/1/6/8/65861/org.jpg ? I don't remember that. It was pure Zyxel.by marlemion - uBoot
AFAIK there is only the NSA310S, which uses the Alaska chip: http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=8827by marlemion - uBoot
This one: http://abload.de/img/nsa310_lanbisgx.jpg I can confirm that this one is on my NSA310. If you read EDIT6 here: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,12381,21223#msg-21223 you will see that I mentioned it there, too.by marlemion - uBoot
Btw. even though I don't have the device here, I can confirm that my NSA310 has the same RTL chip as shown by the picture of pengu above! I saw it when I opened the case. I'll get back to you when having more information.by marlemion - uBoot
I will, but it may take some time, as the nsa310 is happily running as a mini server at my parents home and I don't know yet when I will be there again.by marlemion - uBoot
Hey bodhi, I already got uboot booted with UART a while ago. See this post here: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,12381,21223#msg-21223 So I will certainly will test it ASAP. However, I did not get the network device to be initialized, as it is a different one than in NSA320 or NSA310s. See 'EDIT5' and the following in the mentioned post. The post is quite lengthy and confby marlemion - uBoot
Hey, unfortunately it will take some time until I have access to my nsa310 again. One question: is the networking device issue resolved? Thanks for your work!by marlemion - uBoot
Well, I don't give up sooo easily. :) I managed to make the kwb image (make u-boot.kwb), too easy. It gets loaded by kwboot, but stops at the same message as the precompiled. So I turned on Debug in common.h and get the following: U-Boot 2014.07-gbb8ac0e-dirty (Apr 16 2015 - 13:42:10) ZyXEL NSA310 1-Bay Power Media Server U-Boot code: 00600000 -> 00668EB4 BSS: -> 006B78by marlemion - uBoot
Hey, I have postet this already here, but this might be even a better place. I will have a NSA310 around until end of April. I'd like to have a working u-boot with netconsole working so that I could watch the server boot/shutdown from within the network. As far as I understood, support for the NSA310 has not been provided yet due to lack of devices. So I would like to offer my help devby marlemion - uBoot
