I recently acquired another Dockstar. I could not get SSH access easily, so I activated it on Pogoplug (software got upgraded to v.3.4.1), and got SSH access through the Pogoplug web interface. I wanted to take mods in steps. First step: upgrade the uBoot (with above). I was concerned with starting with Jeff's script (which uses a 2012 uBoot version), especially after having letby dinlaca - uBoot
First, thanks for the great work, and for making it available to all. A couple of questions: Does your Uboot include the following (from http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r24894582-General-Build-your-uboot-for-Dockstar ): (1). Adding time out for tftpboot. To network boot, tftpboot should timeout if network boot fails. (2). Adding pogo compatible 4 bit ECC for envs. (3). Adding compby dinlaca - uBoot
Does this kernel have hfs+ read/write (i.e., macintosh-formatted disk) built-in? If not, what are the steps that need to be taken to build in that kernel module? Thanks in advance.by dinlaca - Debian

So I ran Jeff's script on a USB attached to one of my Dockstars (i.e., the only one I have that looks like it has the 512MB NAND chip installed, instead of the 256MB chip, per the relevant plugapps.com forum post). Everything looked fine during install process. At reboot, I crossed my fingers, rebooted, and found that, though the USB flash drive was attached, the Dockstar would boot into thby dinlaca - Debian

Does corruption happen when system files are (read only) ro also, or only when they are changed to rw? If it doesn't happen with ro, any reason why we can't build UBIFS NAND-flashable in a read-only format, with fixes made by having temporary mounts of paths that need to be rw? Just curious.by dinlaca - Debian

Is the netatalk available through debian SSH-enabled? Or, do I still need to modify source and compile through the process outlined at http://www.mike-hughes.net/it/mac/filesharing-for-osx-afp-on-debian/ and http://routerjockey.com/2009/08/28/setting-up-apple-filing-protocol-and-bonjour-under-debian/ in order to get netatalk working with a macintosh? So I have done the NAND install per Jeff's instructions on this site. One thing I am missing, though, is the ability to use the USB port on my Dockstar to hotswap hard drives, especially HFS+ formatted drives. After doing research (Google has been helpful), I have decided that the best approach is to use netatalk. But, whenever I try and install/compile netatalk (with -ssl flag on, toby dinlaca - Debian
So now that I have it set up, I wanted to include additional packages to give it more complete Dockstar functionality, preferably as part of a NAND-flashable system. Specifically, I want to be able to read Macintosh, Linux and PC drives (hfs+, ext2/3, ntfs/fat/fat32) when I plug one into the Dockstar (otherwise, what good are those USB ports?). What packages do I need to have installed (Itby dinlaca - Debian
