Applied. Note: It did change the nc server and my ip address but I did a fw_printenv after the first part of 4a and caught it before rebooting. Also I did not do the second part of 4a as it is not a first time update with the new u-boot if that matters just sync 3x and shutdown -r now and it is up and running as before.by feas - Debian
So Ray made a reference to freedombox in this thread http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?8,30937,33583,page=8#msg-33583 that got me reading about tinc VPN. And then I started to dig further and found some more https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/10/04/noobs-guide-mesh-networking/. Funny timing. I had come across this today and your post reminded me of it. She uses a different method but could be adapted i guess. https://blog.arduino.cc/2017/03/21/build-an-arduino-powered-magnetic-drawing-machine/#more-16510by feas - Off-Topic
You should be able to find a replacement screen by goggling for one with its make and model fairly easy. If they had installed vnc or something prior it should be easy to use it remotely otherwise I never looked into it.by feas - Off-Topic
My nephew had a spider webbed samsung phone that I put linux on and turned into a "mobile"(see what I did there ;)) movie server. He could load up movies on the sdcard and take to a friends house or where ever and plug it in to an outlet for power and connect to it over wifi and watch. He thought it was pretty cool to be able still make some use of it. The screens are pretty easy toby feas - Off-Topic

None of the usb ports seem to get any power anymore, the ethernet port going must have been a warning of things to come. I was quite fond of it too.
