I have installed DavyGravy's lenny tarball and uboot package on my zyxel nsa320. I've been searching the net to find someone who has a config file for the fan control. I also note that under a different thread the power button control and led's for the NSA320 have been addressed. I thought I would start a new thread to focus on these secondary elements when shifting away from thby z3bram3n - Debian
Yes, I ordered a taio parport wiggler and had success with that. It was problematic but to make a long story short it was all my fault. I did learn a lot and I am presently trying to get Davygravy's macplug running the way I want it on my recovered dockstar. Thanks. Paulby z3bram3n - uBoot
Bodhi, Thanks for the help. Zby z3bram3n - Debian
I compiled usb_printid on my nsa320 and copied it to my macplug. I put it in temp directory and changed permissions but says its not there when I type, /USB_printerid / dev USB/lp0 I tried other ways too but no joy. The program comes with foo2zjs (by Rick Richardson). It checks the printer for signature bits and it is used to determine whether the firmware is already installed so that itby z3bram3n - Rescue System
Not even an expert but might I fathom to guess that your usb stick is at fault? Seems to have trouble fetching required parts from it.by z3bram3n - Rescue System
So the ntpd thingy isn't running and it got me to looking at whether I wanted it to run. I have a router with time on it. Why can't I pull that time? Turns out tomato does not seem to be running ntpd. I haven't figured out where it's getting its time from but it's not serving it out. So I started it on my macplug. Might as well share the load, especially if I can liby z3bram3n - Rescue System
Davygravy, Nice work. After recovering my dockstar I put your macplug on my dockstar. I will be using the time machine backup drive and will be setting up my printers off this unit. I like the concept and there's something new to get familiar with. Thanks. Paulby z3bram3n - Rescue System
I know this is old but there might be some others with the same problem. I was having a weird time getting an updated uboot on my dockstar. I could only get the original -- everything else failed to run. Until I tftp'd Davys uboot from uboot. This got me a usb bootable device where I loaded this rescue disk. I want to report that prior to that I had tried to load the ram version via tby z3bram3n - Rescue System
DavyGravy tarball. I installed his tarball from the initial posting and along with his included new uboot. I was looking at the other methods of using a stick to run the debian install. I have the NSA320.by z3bram3n - Debian
How is this tarball method different from the install. Obviously it is a static image but can you do the apt-get upgrade to get to the latest kernel?by z3bram3n - Debian
Go to zyxel wiki and read the usb stick firmware recovery posting. It will show you how to rewrite the filesystem. I had the same problem and it fixed it by rewriting the memory blocks that had been corrupted so some components (eth0) were not running.by z3bram3n - Off-Topic
