ming, hahibie has a good point, if the uboot envs are currently set up to boot Openwrt, you need to modify them to boot USB. Please post the current uboot envs if you have installed new uboot.by bodhi - uBoot
Joey, It is in step 2 nano /root/.vnc/xstartup Did the above work in Armbian rootfs ?by bodhi - Debian
umd, That's actually normal. Because the 4TB drive partition is labeled rootfs. Once the kernel booted, it will find the first partition that has the label rootfs and mount that (we set it up that way in bootargs). So to make sure the rootfs on USB is selected, you need to relabel the 4TB partition to something else.by bodhi - uBoot

umd, This error is quite common. You just need to use parted to wipe out everything and start fresh. And create onlty one 1 partition. - Post the actual log of what you did to create the 4TB partition. - Post the serial boot log.by bodhi - uBoot
2 problems: 1. Your USB rootfs is not good good. Recreate the rootfs again. If you like me to take a look, post the session how you did it. 2. Your bootcmd_exec env has a typo, should be: run load_uimageby bodhi - uBoot
daviddyer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Better don't put system on the 4tb drive. It won't > be able to spin down with system on it. That's a very good point. Ray, I don't want to sound patronizing :) . You are an experienced software engineer (you said so). But you are either too lazy to search, or just want to have the baby steps written out for you! Here is Jeff's instruction: http://projects.doozan.com/uboot/build_uboot.htm Read that post and find 2 commands to build uboot there.by bodhi - uBoot
Recreate the Debian 4.4 rootfs and boot with it - plug in the Debian 4.4 USB rootfs - power up, interrupt serial console, and printev boot And post the entire serial console log here.by bodhi - uBoot

hbelcher, It's not important if you don't plan to boot to stock OS (mtd4 is the stock rootfs). It does not affect anything in Debian.by bodhi - uBoot
fortis91, BTW. This should be: flash_erase /dev/mtd2 0 0 nandwrite -n /dev/mtd2 mtd2.dockstar Note the syntax error above with 2 dashes: --nby bodhi - uBoot
