unknownerrors, You need serial console to get into the box: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?8,13263 Once you have that, then install u-boot and Debian. Debian: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,12096 u-boot: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,12381by bodhi - Off-Topic

This is the instruction based on my very old notes. So please consider it a work-in-progress (WIP) instruction that needs to be verified by trying it out. ================================= 1. Install CUPS apt-get install cups foomatic-filters cups-driver-gutenprint ghostscript-cups apt-get install cups-pdf Also install avahi and samba if it is not already installed. 2. umd, You USB drive was not regconized by u-boot: scanning bus 0 for devices... musv & nielsek, You don't need to create 2 partitions. If you boot Debian (with the uInitrd), with the envs I posted in the release thread, you should be able to boot 1 partition without problem. Repeat it here: setenv curr_bootfrom 1 setenv next_bootfrom 1 setenv load_dtb_addr 0x1000000 setenv load_initrd_addr 0x2900000 setenv load_image_addr 0x02000000 setenv usb_initby bodhi - Debian

If avahi advertised your printer correctly, then it should have a name and showup on the list. So you should choose "browse" to see if it appears in the network.by bodhi - Off-Topic

This is from my old notes years ago, so things might have been obsolete. I don't have a USB-only printer anymore so I don't run cups now.by bodhi - Off-Topic

saschadd, 1. Have you added the module to initramfs-tools/modules ? this is the way to tell the kernel to beware of btrfs earlier. 2. If in doubt, switch back to sysvinit and work this out. That eliminates an unknown variable. IIRC, systemd had some problem with mounting btrfs in the past.by bodhi - uBoot
youxiaojie, > first, but because of leakage of embedded linux / > uboot Let me describe the problem and solution. The problem: You are running my u-boot image 2014.07, but the envs settings are not set to boot with DTB. So therefore the kernel loaded only uImage and uInitrd. It did not try to load the DTB, due to missing envs for that. So that's why the error showed:by bodhi - Debian

I think there is perhaps a GPIO setting sequence that we might have not been aware of. Probably a handler needed to be registered with the kernel to set that.by bodhi - Debian
saschadd, > Do i use wrong variables? Is there a list of avail > able uboot variables somewhere? Either root LABEL or UUID should work. root=LABEL=rootfs require initramfs, i.e. uInitrd root=UUID=2f613613-85b4-46cf-bbbe-90a1748f7753 does not require initramfs, but you are limited to this UUID. This is how Arch boot without initrd (therefore the LABEL option is not availablby bodhi - uBoot
youxiaojie, > so i decide to configure a env for uboot 2014.07t > o boot to linux. Then you need to use the default u-boot envs for 2014.07. Without the u-boot envs set to correct default values, and then the env for DTB pointing to the correct location on top of that, you will not able to boot. Quotea. If it is an old printer with USB only (no ethernet) then here what I did long ago: install cups. cups is as old as Unix. apt-get install cups foomatic-filters cups-driver-gutenprint ghostscript-cups The combination of Samba, avahi, cups will make the printer available to virtually all types of computers in the LAN, including your phones or tablets.by bodhi - Off-Topic
