This one is $40: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seagate-FreeAgent-GoFlex-Home-Network-Storage-NAS-Enclosure-No-Hard-Drive-/350754105202?pt=US_Drive_Enclosures_Docks&hash=item51aa92e772 A while back there was a sale for $10 refurbished GoFlex Home on eBay. After that it was about $20-25. You could watch eBay, sometime it is availble for $25.by bodhi - Off-Topic

dinjo, Search on eBay, much cheaper than else where. The GoFlex Home has 1 SATA ports, the Goflex Net has 2 SATA ports.by bodhi - Off-Topic
For your pupose, the GoFlex Home/Net is enough. It's cheaper than the GoFlex Net for the same horse power. The unit itself is cheaper to get, and the GoFlex Desk 3.5" SATA hard disk for it is also cheaper, and it has power button. But if you are using non-GoFlex eSATA enclosure to house the hard disk, then the GoFlex Net is nicer ( you can plug in another eSATA enclosure on the 2nd portby bodhi - Off-Topic
syong, Thanks for the links! looks really nice. For my Pogoplug E02, I just plug in the JST header and thread the 4 wires underneath the bottom front. I know, lazy :) But there is enough clearance for these small wires. It's not tidy, these wires are hanging out and need to be rolled up. This phone jack installation looks very professional. I might try this when I have time to tinker withby bodhi - Off-Topic
I have a question, hope someone know the answer for this: Below are JST serial header that I've installed in some of these plugs, and the wire I used to connect the Serial module. These wire connectors fit the Serial module perfectly, but they are too loose for the JST header. What are these wire connectors called? and where can I find a smaller size? I think I could cut off one end and cby bodhi - Off-Topic

Looking at the Arch Linux ARM patch file (May 07, 2013), there are 2 different patches for NSA310 and 320. I have not compared these 2 to see how different they are.by bodhi - Debian

@chessplayer, Awesome! and sorry about the gz2/bz2, I got it mixed up sometime (it must be a mental block somewhere :)). I'll re-archive the tarball properly. The symlinks warning is not a problem, dpkg just looks for the source and build directories and can't find them. It does not effect the kernel installation at all.by bodhi - Debian

@chessplayer, Please try this kernel 3.8.11 and let me know if you can run it on NSA320. Once you have verified that it works, I will update the 3.8.11 thread to include it. Update - see main thread for link: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,12096by bodhi - Debian
I've built the 2013.04 uBoot and tried it on a GoFlex Net. It still has problem with netconsole, so I consider it not fit for public consumption. There seems to be a race condition in netconsole input logic (it exhibits different behavior when debug is turned on and not turned on). It booted in normal mode OK, and also OK in serial console, but can't boot in netconsole. Netconsole iby bodhi - uBoot
dave.opc, First, "sudo tar ..." might not work! you should do both steps (tar -c and tar -x) as root. Second, it's easier to clone a disk if it's not a system disk. So you should clone it using another Linux box. Doing this as root user: 1. Mount both to a running Linux machine (eg. laptop, desktop, or another plug if you have one) 2. Make sure the HDD is formatteby bodhi - Debian
Hi chessplayer, By "similar" I meant you can name your image in the parameter "-n" to whatever you want to call them, or just use the commands as they are! The other parameters should be the same. Furthermore, you won't brick your box with this, if it does not work, you can mount the USB on another Linux box, remove them, and boot the NSA back on, and then generate tby bodhi - Debian
chessplayer, That error can be ignored since the kernel naming convention is not standard (eg. 3.3.2-kirkwood-dg) . You should check your /boot directory to see if the file initrd.img-3.3.2-kirkwood-dg was generated. If it was, then you can go ahead and generate uInird (you don't have to generate uImage, but it goods to keep them updated in pair anyway). Something similar to this mkby bodhi - Debian

metric, Quoterescue:/tmp# md5sum uboot.mtd0.kwb 77ce1df732843774e5257b615ba8a9db uboot.mtd0.kwb Is uboot.mtd0.kwb is a saved image of current good uBoot image? You could try to reflash mtd0 with a good uBoot image from Debian command line. First, verify your mtd partitions are what should be: # fw_printenv mtdparts mtdparts=mtdparts=orion_nand:1M(u-boot),4M(uImage),32M(rootfs),-(daby bodhi - uBoot
Ah! I forgot that our minimal Debian rootfs usually does not have automount enable. So I guess Davy's rootfs does not have udev rules defined for that. You could either change udev rules to automount the HDD, or add fstab entry to mount it when the kernel starts, or add a mount command to /etc/rc.local to mount it at the end of kernel startup. udev rules grammar is a little hard to get itby bodhi - Debian
Yes. Davy's Pogo E02 patch has been in mainline uBoot. I've compiled and flashed 2003.01 uBoot with Pogo E02 support already in mainline. And I also had to change the env address to 0xc0000 to be able to use current envs, as our standard location is at 0xc0000.by bodhi - uBoot
@chackoc, It is certainly feasible doing that. But the instruction in the link seems incomplete. Be careful, it might lock you out so do this only if you have serial console. Other topic: re uBoot patch, the latest uBoot and a few versions before that has the Pogo E02 patch in mainline. So it could be modified to set the env address at a different location.by bodhi - uBoot

With only the USB stick plugged in, boot into Debian, and 1. Use fw_setenv to set uBoot envs the same way you set arcNumber before (put the value in quote if there is space) fw_setenv usb_rootfstype ext2 fw_setenv usb_init 'run usb_scan ; setenv usb_root LABEL=rootfs' 2. If your serial console doesn't show anything, it might be that your uBoot in mtd0 has been corrupted. You can try UART booting: http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,7852,7852 If this works, then reflash uBoot to mtd0 while in serial console.by bodhi - uBoot
dave.opc, you got it working :) (just what I've suspected, the machid was needed). The installation script must have detected your machine type. But current uBoot version still needs machid to work properly. dmesg > [ 20.993836] libata version 3.00 loaded. > [ 20.995642] sata_mv sata_mv.0: version 1.28 > [ 20.995733] sata_mv sata_mv.0: slots 32 ports > 1 > [by bodhi - Debian
