Is lenfertdesign.com your server? If I try to download from that link I get a 7 byte file with checksum 62b5bf1fc998b35626bdca6106677fbd. Did you try the WayBackMachine? The first, at least, is available here: https://web.archive.org/web/20160428162018/http://www.marvell.com/application-processors/armada-500/assets/Marvell_Armada510_SoC.pdf -JTby renojim - Debian

Cool! I had to pack mine up since I'm in the process of moving. I probably won't be able to get back to it for a couple of weeks. -JT P.S. - I assume you were able to remove the SATA module? There's only two screws holding it in.by renojim - Debian

Ok, I may be losing my mind. Ok, I do think it's a timing issue and not some kind of Secured Boot issue. I don't think the kwboot command used is the problem. Using Tera Term to send the "enter command line debug mode" pattern (0xDD, 0x11, 0x22, 0x33, ... 0x77) over and over for a few seconds, I can plug in the power and see it respond with "Bootstrap 1.21>". So it's clearly not in Seby renojim - Debian

I'm starting to think UART booting has been disabled. I haven't been able to find a datasheet for the 88F6282A, but I found one for the Armada XP (from what I can find, the 88F6282A is an Armada 300). In the Armada XP datasheet it mentions a "Secured Boot mode" that can be enabled in eFuse. If the Secured Boot mode is set then it doesn't scan the serial port for the seby renojim - Debian

I just got one of these myself to play with (even though I really have no time :-) ). I didn't get anywhere with kwboot. The "reset button" doesn't seem to reset anything. The only effect I saw that it has is that if you hold it in while you apply power the LED stays on steady white until you release it (then it starts flashing). I took the 16GB SATA flash drive out and moby renojim - Debian
Have you tried using the -v option to see if mount gives any useful information?by renojim - Debian
Never mind what I deleted. I thought you were trying to take a duplicate USB drive to a different GoFlex Home, but now that I read your post again it doesn't sound like that's what you're trying to do. -JTby renojim - Debian
Try running g++ with the -v option. Maybe it will tell us something.by renojim - Debian
Did you also install g++-7 when you installed gcc-7? If not, try to install it the same way you installed gcc-7. -JTby renojim - Debian
So it looks like you got it sorted out. Great! Right after I posted I thought about locales and dpkg-reconfigure and the trouble I had long ago with foreign characters. That was going to be my next suggestion, but you beat me to it. -JTby renojim - Debian
It could a setting in the terminal program your using to access your Dockstar. I use PuTTY with the Window Translation set to UTF-8 and I can view file names with Chinese characters properly on my Dockstar. I don't believe I've ever installed anything extra. -JTby renojim - Debian

I think I know what bodhi would say. ;) Since you have the serial connection, copy and paste the entire output from the U-Boot banner until it says, "Booting the kernel..." (or whatever the message is). Also, on another boot attempt, press a key to interrupt the boot process and type printenv and post the entire output. -JTby renojim - Debian
Will do. I searched for zswap here when I started, but there seemed to be stuff spread out all over the place. -JTby renojim - Debian
Dang! I knew I was doing something stupid. You'd think I'd know how to follow instructions. I could have sworn I updated my environment variables some time ago, but I'm probably thinking of my setup of a few non-Dockstars I did in the last year or two. I'll go back and read the U-Boot thread more carefully. Thanks, bodhi! -JTby renojim - uBoot
I finally decided to see what zswap is all about and in the process I learned a few things and stumbled upon using lz4 instead of the default lzo compression. Why do I want lz4? No idea. I just found references to it and thought if other people think it's useful than who am I to question them? :-) The first thing I learned is that you may think you're using zswap and you really aby renojim - Debian
