Update my uboot and put a newer kernel somewhere so I can use wheezy. I didn't know that the kernel was actually in the nand. Do you know where the kernel is and how to get it into nand?by gr0ck - uBoot

Glad to know I didn't mess up. It all seems to work on my pogo-p25 but .. if I try to upgrade thats when it all goes to hell and it will not boot up. I have a lot of trouble gettiby gr0ck - uBoot

This is one of my confusing issues. Over a year ago I used varkey's image for debian. bodhi's post I used long time ago. This is why I have the kirkwood kernel. :) I think Warheadsby gr0ck - uBoot
I would love to support these devices, I own them, and I think they are good systems, but I have no idea how to cross compile or code a kernel. Any idea who is working on coding the kernels? But I plan to learn how to at least cross compile a kernel, and update the uboot. I feel its a security risk if I don't update my system. The strange thing for me is my OXNAS system is runnby gr0ck - uBoot

YES! it works. After a lot of work. Turns out one of my usb drives is having problemos. This worked for pogo-p25. 5 days ago I did step 1: worked perfectly. skipped other steps 1.2: ssh to alarm version and did an ifconfig to get the mac address. I saved that for later. 2: today I did step 3. I got the rootfs and installed. I did: rm /etc/ssh/ssh_host_* nano /etc/network/interfaces anby gr0ck - uBoot
So my attempt to build a debian usb disk plugged into my pogoplug to flash wildly and nothing more than that. :( I've followed the instructions to the T up through the dockstar section The size of the rootfs should be about about 300-400MB umount /media/debian/proc umount /media/debian/dev/pts du -sh /media/debian/ So we have a working rootfs image which we want to put on a USBby gr0ck - uBoot
Using Vlad's process when you got to the dockstar and goflex sections how did you proceed? Since mine is a pogoplug I'm a bit confused at this point. I've read over this and Vlad's post but I can't make sense of this it at this point. Do I put the kernels from the archarm steps off the root of the /media/debian image fileby gr0ck - uBoot

Does anyone know any options to get jeff's load on a pogo-p25? I've tried it and it fails on a few things. I think his version is cool because you can revert back to the pogoplug software, which is what I want. If anyone knows of any options please help! I'm wondering if anyone knows howto backup the original boot device, and other devices so incase something goes wrong I can restore the OG software? If it can be backed up how do you restore the OG software and boot loader?by gr0ck - uBoot
