Because machine to machine, the memory timings might be different as well as which pins are attached to what. u-boot is not grub+bios.by WarheadsSE - Debian
I would say lets get this in, then bringing it up to 2014.x shouldn't be all that hard.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Right, I mean we should get the default environments to do this load.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Now if we could get it to support uEnv.txt .by WarheadsSE - uBoot
I'd say it is looking well. Did we ever setting into a good default Env that works for Arch & Debian?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Okay -- when did you start kwboot? This should be started BEFORE the device is powered on, and yes, not all of the devices has support for it.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
It's really not "that" simple. But, if it is just close enough, it might "mostly" work. I'll have a look.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
The CPU and RAM clocks are stepped together by default (without a good amount of jackassery) so you get a bonus of the RAM clock as well. That is, by the way, why 950 is unstable.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
I hadn't intended, no. Not that it isn't possible, but I've got no need for it myself.by WarheadsSE - Debian
You did not attach the Vcc line of the serial, did you?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Hey George, how are you doing today... QuoteAfter the installer finishes running but before you reboot, make sure you check that you have your original values... a few of the values might have to be restored.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
*scratch head* I mildly recall something about dicking around in the phy spin down to turn on WOL on one of the NSA32x's, having to actually write to a register the MAC address to listen for. I can't place where it was though. They screwed around with so many things.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
K, a few comments in regards to all of that last 4 posts: Disk array configuration: note that the stock tests are on JBOD, not RAID'ed in any way. In my test, my config: PC: Arch Linux, FX-8120, ASUS mobo, Seagate Barracuda 11 7200RPM (single) NSA-325v1: Arch Linux ARM, Seagate Barracuda 11 7200RPM (single) Network: GbE via NetGear GS108T, no other high load. The HDD are matchingby WarheadsSE - Debian
Sounds about* right. * That will likely work, but I have not tested it, and generally have simply zero'd the drive's first 1M prior, then repartitioned. That obviously might not be what you want to do.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Oh, I had no inference about the boot media. If the SATA is attached at boot, at all, it will take /dev/sda. If your SATA drive have the magic on it, you will need to configure the drive's environment appropriately, and ensure that the uboot on it has USB capability.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
If you are using an initrd, you should be okay. The problem comes from the SATA always coming up prior to usb, thus taking /dev/sdaby WarheadsSE - uBoot
I've been to busy to work with this as of yet. Sorryby WarheadsSE - uBoot
I looked at the patch. Most of these changes I will make without issue. If it is really down to a typo on the pin number, LOL. Some of these are a matter of white space changes, which make either no sense, or are un-needed/don't conform to the stylings in u-boot.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Copy pasta?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
With or without the PHY init?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
bahaahah .. d'ohby WarheadsSE - uBoot
It looks like the way your uboot is setup does not load it, so it wouldn't do anything.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Result 1: wait, why would it have shut down Result 2: Okay, now if we can get the phy_init stuff working for it, we might actually be able to shut off the watchdog.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
And the changes to the kwbimage.cfg ;)by WarheadsSE - uBoot
You can't do that from a Windows machine. You will need to use either Linux VM, or a Live CD/USBby WarheadsSE - uBoot
Yesby WarheadsSE - Debian
In theory, that may be possible. But it will be horribly complex. Why? - Interrupt the PHY init - Initialize LED2 as trimode - Bring up the PHY - Bring up the GPIO - Trip the GPIO. The first four steps have already occurred by the time mw.l commands would be able to be executed.by WarheadsSE - Debian
uEnv.txt in /boot Quoteextraargs=zswap.enabled=1 Might be optargs instead of extraargsby WarheadsSE - uBoot
This is what I have experienced as well.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
