I will have a look at the nsa320 once I get my power supply for it out storage, and for the nsa325, I have to give a rest until we can figure out how to get a test uboot running.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
/facepalm You need to install the necessary package to get that on Arch. As for those two files, they are a part of the rootfs, you don't need to make them.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Nope.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
I wonder if I could create a uImage out of it and then bootm that...by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Due to the order of initialization, the delay introduced by the IDE reset command & related initialization/filesystem read, etc could have provided you the time for the USB to properly cycle up before the usb boot sequence.by WarheadsSE - Debian
Just don't push binaries to github :) I have my NSA3xx changes on a branch of my work, so no issues there :)by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Also: re: V4/Mobile SATA .. I have a user that bought a mobile, and attached _both_ SATA ports directly to eSATA port cables, and now has 2x 4x3TB enclosures.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Yup, sata should work fine, since it is just an mv_sata like the rest.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
@bodhi Thoughts on my getting this bugger to chain load? I can't get kwboot to work, as said. I have copied u-boot.bin to /boot, and ext2load'ed them to 0x800000 and 0x2000000, but `go` results only in a software interrupt and a SoC reset. (this after one successful boot so that the MCU watchdog is off)by WarheadsSE - uBoot
For the most part, I have no issues pulling the necessities from PlanetEater's 2014.1 back to 2013.10. Only some Makefile differences, which I simply altered from the GFN in the repo as it is.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike ZyXEL's EE's for hooking up the MCU directly to the power supply, and dangling it off the PHY LED[2] in tristate? ... The NSA325 does support kwboot. However, that #$%^*%^*R MCU screws up the process.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Well the 325 has a completely matching NAND partition layout. I wonder if there is room to move the stock u-boot too..by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Okay, so you're putting the new uboot's env @ stock+1 block, and there is plenty of storage for that?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Yeah, I just added appropriate lines for 2013.10 across all nsa3xx'sby WarheadsSE - uBoot
I have pulled the changes for the nsa320 from the your repo @PlanetEater I will base the 325 off that, and *attempt* the 310, but does anyone have one of these?? ( I am also moving the board from board/Marvell to board/zyxel)by WarheadsSE - uBoot
@chessplayer I have the 320's on my plate to bring to 2013.10, and once we have all this consolidated, I expected we will bring them to 2014.1, and possible mainline'd.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
I do have a V4, and I will hopefully be testing this. So, any PR you make would be appreciated.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Here is dmesg from Arch Linux nsa325 3.13.5-1-ARCH #1 PREEMPT Sun Feb 23 02:58:30 MST 2014 armv5tel GNU/Linuxby WarheadsSE - Debian
Key words: "and a recovery plan" @Pras - Please feel free to fork & PR the repo!by WarheadsSE - uBoot
I will start in on the NSA3xx series.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
I need to plug-in my 325, but when that is up I will get you a log with that latest Arch kernel. Oh, and @marcint43 , yeah, that was the idea :)by WarheadsSE - Debian
Just because you get no output, doesn't mean that the serial console is not "doing its job". I am however unaware if kwbboot will work for the 320.by WarheadsSE - Debian
Looks like stock u-boot, and a borked initrdby WarheadsSE - uBoot
Write of ~20-25MB/s Read of ~40MB/s Those sound about right.by WarheadsSE - Debian
Bodhi, I made a few comments to the first commit (of all the patches for all the devices), and was wondering if you have seen them.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Do not use the "TV sticks" for 24/7 downloading. Really. They aren't designed for that kind of behavior, and generally have shit for external connectivity. It's REALLY not that hard to make a V4 work. Install the u-boot, write the Debian rootfs/boot partition files, reboot.by WarheadsSE - Debian
Buzzer: Well, you could write a wrapper around that, but that's really the only way to drive it since it is attached to GPIO, not PWM. You might be able to semi-synthezie PWM. HDD2_POWER: That's take from the the init bits on what GPIO are being set high at boot (and me manually pinning out each GPIO to confirm) from ZyXEL stock. It was a PITA to find, and in the unified 2013.10-kby WarheadsSE - Debian
They are essentially the same as before.by WarheadsSE - Debian
Pogoplug V4/mobile are cheap, and of course, PP02's.by WarheadsSE - Debian
