git checkout -b 2013.10-kirkwood 183acb700378a8cfc5d50a01a65de93fb2c24586 This will create a branch based from the 2013.10 tag.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
I can certainly use that patch set, but I would like to branch right off of mainline and get it all in & working.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Alright, we're a good chunk through February, lets get on this. So: - github ? - modern-ifying the PPV4, and as many supported platforms as possible.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Could also play with f2fs or nilfs.by WarheadsSE - Debian
Or, just load the pogopolug software on top of linux, it is doable, if entirely unsupported. Then the downside of the pogoplug software...by WarheadsSE - Debian
It works on ALARM, and has for a very very long time. Don't expect to get > 10-20MB/s max :)by WarheadsSE - Debian
I would suggest a drill, but start a small tap with a knife or nail (just so the bit doesn't skip around.by WarheadsSE - Off-Topic
I know for a fact that the serial is tied to the same electrical sources as the ethernet PHY, because the having serial connected will prevent you from seeing the issue where-in the ethernet does not properly initialize on cold-boot.by WarheadsSE - Debian
Not unless they package a ARM binary as that seems to NOT be open source. Even then, lord knows what the requirements are until the post them clearly.by WarheadsSE - Debian
@NSA325tvheadend Bodhi is keeping up with my NSA325 patches and the added mach number (I have it registered with the ARM device registry), where as debian itself is likely not including the patch needed for the device. It is not a part of mainline.by WarheadsSE - Debian
List of Kirkwood devices I have: - GoFlex Net - Pogoplug V4 (not mobile) - ZyXEL NSA320 - ZyXEL NSA325 - USI Topkick (the reference design the TonidoPlug 2 is based on)by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Alright, we'll slate it for Febby WarheadsSE - uBoot
Alright, I checked and there is no issue with the ALARM patch and building nsa3xx-hwmon AFAICTby WarheadsSE - Debian
I've got the original sources pulled from ZyXEL for 310/320/325, so when we start in on that unified uboot tree, that should help greatly. I'll have a look at those settings for the Arch kernel as well.by WarheadsSE - Debian
And where are your sources for those?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
@bodhi So what version are we going to match against?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
The oxnas install script I wrote covers the location, and page-cleaning pretty clearly. If not there, then the kernel updater script does.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
You can indeed run ALARM with initrd, we just don't provide it for you and you will need to follow the wiki in configuring the necessary hooks.by WarheadsSE - Debian
I am following these developments, and it would be nice to have the oxnas family back under full support @ Arch Linux ARM, but I can't devote time to the device at this point.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
The boot loader on the device does not support that.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Do you have it configured for the right voltage?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
So, github?by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Arch Linux ARM does have a set of FDT drivers, and a user that was dev/maint/use the config. I can get in contact with him regarding that.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
@bohdi @davygravy Gents, Shall we work on getting all known and linux supported Kirkwood based boards into one tree, especially those that we don't have an existing consolidated codebase? Get these working, and into a consolidated tree, so that we can get them all to modern versions of u-boot that will support GPT, FDT, et al without us all having to hunt around? Examples of troublby WarheadsSE - uBoot
Pro has the PCIe bus connection soldered, anything else does not. Pretty much that simple.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
Yes, USB drive assignment is really pot-shot. SATA will nearly always come up priot to USB drives if only because the SATA contoller is initialized prior to the USB host controllers (let alone hubs that might be attached) You could (and should) look into labelling &| UUID/PARTUUIDby WarheadsSE - Debian
Another option is chain loading for testing purposes. You'll want to have it boot at least once to disable the watchdog while you sort out testing anyways.by WarheadsSE - Debian
If the uInitrd does not exist, of course it will also simply be bypassed.by WarheadsSE - uBoot
I may be misinformed, but I thought that the paragon driver was closed source.by WarheadsSE - Debian
Yeah, how long was it off? If I power off, then turn it back on within a minute or two, its not a problem. 5+ minutes and it is "cold"by WarheadsSE - Debian
