Wes, Your u-boot envs are not set up properly. You should have upgraded to u-boot-2016.05, that version has everything setup for you. The version you've installed is a little old (it's fine, but need setup a little more). ----- Here how to solve this. Kernel 4.8.3 is FDT. And the booting log showed that you're loading only uImage and uInitrd but not the DTB. That's whby bodhi - Debian

runner3735, Best if you list your u-boot envs here and I'll show you where to set the variable. You might have customized these envs in your box already, so it's not safe to suggest any change without seeing them first. Joey, afaik, only the 64GB Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 has wear leveling. The 32GB version probably not. If you dont need the small size, get the a SSD and a USB 3.0 2.5&by bodhi - Off-Topic
I agree with Muchatet. Try a different file system to verify. Also use rsync command to do this to see if the performance is normal. btrfs might have problem getting contiguous blocks when you use dd. rsync -a /media/Daten/Daten/Videos/Neu/movie.mkv /media/Backup/Daten/Videos/Neu/movie.mkvby bodhi - Debian

Joey, Wow! your T5325 pic looks so nice. Are you sure that's the one? I have to open it up to verify. Gravelrash surely has a better idea about that RAM than I do. OT, Leonard Cohen wrote songs that read like poetry, and poetry that sound like songs (TM by bodhi) :))by bodhi - Off-Topic
Leonard Cohen, the best ever. He has been "summoned now to deal with an invincible defeat". RIP. On topic, I'm setting up my HP T5325 to record a bunch of cassette tapes (mostly speeches) from the old days :)) I might have a post for that later.by bodhi - Off-Topic

SiliCAT, All good points. However, what I think: > 1. I found using the SD card or the Flash Drive as > the rootfs is unreliable, and I have to worry > about the lifespan of the memory chips. Stock u-boot, kernel and rootfs are in NAND partitions. Even though we are going to boot with USB or SATA, everything except u-boot are kept intact, so that you will have a restore path.
