axel-dd, What if you use iperf to measure the network transit only (old and new kernel use different network drivers). Would it show the slow down at all? Also, this might be the difference in mv_sata version , but it's just my guess. WorldwoWires, I am not sure what you are trying to do? why saveenv in netconsole prompt? can you boot with USB into debian with this box? if you can then do fw_setenv inside Debian, would that work? (you do not need to saveenv in uBoot, if you can boot into Debian). This is crucial to avoid mistakes, alway boot with a temporary set of uBoot envs, and then if everything went OK, redo it in Debiby bodhi - uBoot
Looks like this stock uboot does not have usb command. And as WarheadsSE said, rootfs in Nand was corrupted. You have 2 choices, either: 1. Try to restore rootfs with a backup dump, from a good unit. 2. Flash new uboot so you can boot with usb. Setup tftp server on the box that you use to monitor serialconsole. And use tftp command to load new uboot image, and flash it.by bodhi - uBoot

heychris, The behavior is expected. With 2 SATA ports, you will need rootfs label to boot, just like for the usb root usb_root=LABEL=rootfs So if you label one disk rootfs, and set your bootargs to look for the label, then it will boot correctly. We can't really rely on the drive assignments, since it is unpredictable some of the time (whichever spins up first gets sda1).by bodhi - uBoot

Since stock uBoot defines the envs at a different address (0x40000), when this uBoot image is flashed in serial console, it is OK because you can set the envs manually at the prompt. But if people flash this in Linux, they would have to adjust /etc/fw_env.config and set the envs to boot usb drive before rebooting. So I guess I could either 1. add these envs intoby bodhi - uBoot
I kind of expect it. The stock uBoot is quite old, so it's limited in scripting. Too bad the Pogo E02 does not have UART booting so you can try without flashing new uBoot to NAND. You could flash uBoot directly to NAND using serial console, but I don't know if you want to do that. If booting with stock u-Boot does not work, then you can try that. Heychrist, Excellent :) Looks like Ext4 rootfs booting works fine too. Besides Ext4, the feature that most people looking for is: to be able to boot a GPT > 2TB HDD, or a smaller GPT disk. If you don't have a >2TB HDD, you could format a USB thumb/HDD drive as GPT using parted, untar a Stora rootfs on it and boot.
