Joey, Bodhi is right that the released version of an OpenSuSE distro does not come with Kodi. One will need to add a 3rd-party addons in software package manager to include Kodi.by habibie - Off-Topic

I forgot to mention that I have an old 128 MB GeForce FX 5700 video card installed on my AMD Sempron with 1.2 GB (even with 512 MB) RAM running on OpenSuSE 13.2 and Kodi v16.1 plays very smooth. Before I installed OpenSuSE 13.2, the RSS streamed out very sluggish in old version of Kodi v15.2 when it had SuSE 10.1 I installed back in 2005.by habibie - Off-Topic

About 4 weeks ago, the power supply on my 12 years old Intel Pentium 4 computer started to emit smoke after I replaced the mobo CR-2032 Lithium battery. I don't know why, but the computer is dead now. It probably would cost me at least $15 just to replace the power supply when there is some discount sale from some local stores. For a temporarily fix, I pulled out an old AMD Sempron computerby habibie - Off-Topic

I thought BestBuy just wanted to get rid off these old stocks. Apparently, I was wrong. The fact is these two smartphones are now on sale again for under $10 for this Memorial weekend sale. I was hoping to see other brands, i.e. Motorola, LG, etc., would be on sale under $10. habibie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I noticed BestBuy currently has dropped sby habibie - Off-Topic
@Joey I contacted the OP and immediately got response. But, the response I got was to look at this old photo that I have no idea to which pads are those wires soldered. @LeggoMyEggo Good points and noted. Thank you.by habibie - Off-Topic
Bodhi, That is true. But, I believe the OP on that post wanted to pull the 12+ Volt to supply to his 3TB external SATA HDD without enclosure. Unfortunately, there is no much information if he succeeded the project. Perhaps, I should contact him to find out more.by habibie - Off-Topic
Bodhi, thank you. EDIT: I gave it a try and the kernel had a problem to boot as shown below, i.e. stucked @ Uncompressing Linux... done, booting the kernel. From serial/console cable: U-Boot 2013.10-tld-5 (Mar 07 2015 - 16:50:17) for OXNASby habibie - uBoot

Hello Bodhi, Is it possible to boot using ONLY uImage kernel file without its .dtb file? If so, can you help me to modify the following uEnv.txt file so that it won't need the openwrt-oxnas-pogoplug-pro.dtb file to properly boot, i.e. what needs to change in the bootcmd_usb line? bootargs_usb=setenv bootargs 'console=ttyS0,115200n8 root=/dev/sda1 rootdelay=2 rootfstype=ext4 LABEL=usby habibie - uBoot
@Joey, Have you come across this Z4Root utility?by habibie - Off-Topic
Joey, What you said makes sense. In other words, the HDD could be at the end of its life and is awaiting to go dead within a year or so, especially if used as a 24/7 storage.by habibie - Off-Topic
Currently, ebay has this Hitachi Ultrastar 7K3000 HUA723020ALA641 2TB 64MB cache Internal Hard Drive (Manufacturer refurbished) under US$ 35 + a FREE S/H. I really am in a need for a SATA HDD to put into my computer. However, I am a bit nervous about a manufacturer refurbished product. What do you all think?by habibie - Off-Topic
After playing around my PogoPlug Pro 02 with some 3-rd party firmwares, I must say I am a bit disappointed with its SATA performance and thought perhaps it will do better when running on its own stock firmware. But, before I set out to do this, I sure would like to know what protocol, i.e. NFS, samba, etc., does the PogoPlug Pro use to do its cloud storage services?by habibie - Off-Topic
The S/H cost is really killing the offers and makes it very unattractive.by habibie - Off-Topic
