pengu, Were both of the boot logs above from a power down status? i.e. removed power cord.by bodhi - Debian
@edinger, In serial console, setenv bootcmd 'setenv mainlineLinux yes; run bootcmd_linux; setenv mainlineLinux no; run bootcmd_stock' boot See if this works. And post the serial boot log when you boot without the USB.by bodhi - Debian
pengu, It's a strange problem. Please post serial console boot log and dmesg.by bodhi - Debian
@edinger, You are running stock u-boot with WarheadsSE's setup to enable switching beween Linux and stock OS. bootcmd_linux=setenv bootargs $(bootargs_linux); mw.l f1010100 0020c000; usb reset; ext2load usb 0:1 $(loadaddr) /uImage; ext2load usb 0:1 0x01100000 /uInitrd; bootm $(loadaddr) 0x01100000 bootcmd_stock=setenv bootargs $(bootargs_stock); nand read.e $(loadaddr) $(kernel_addr)by bodhi - Debian
@edinger, Do you want to run stock OS as full system, or just want to be able to use it as a simple "rescue" system in case you need to login to fix the USB file system? In either cases, you should connect with netconsole and get the output of your u-boot envs and post here. Boot into Debian and also get output of: uname -a mount cat /etc/fw_env.configby bodhi - Debian
Joey, The problem with using Webmin is a lot of us here don't use it. So probably nobody has ideas why it did not work for you. Most everybody probably did this only when starting to play with Linux. Can you turn off that option in Webmin? and then set it up manually using instruction found searching the net, or use this instruction here. With Samba, the best way to make it work is toby bodhi - Off-Topic
Dieter, It depends if you have installed new u-boot and flashed the default u-boot envs image or not. If you did, then more u-boot envs adjustment is needed to boot back to stock OS. If not sure how, pls list your u-boot envs here. fw_printenv And do you have serial console or netconsole?by bodhi - Debian

An interesting issue: the NSA30S apparently uses the same mechanism for fan and temperature as the NSA325. So we can't control the fan speed. The system stat: echo "CPU Temperature" $(($(/usr/sbin/i2cget -y 0x0 0x0a 0x07))) "C" echo "Fanspeed" $[60000/$(($(/usr/sbin/i2cget -y 0x0 0x0a 0x08)))] "RPM" shows system stats without any HDD installed:by bodhi - Debian

bobafetthotmail, Looks like it has the same MCU controls and use the same nsa3xx-hwmon.c module. So you are out of luck right now. To use it, you'll have to go back to kernel linux-3.16.0-kirkwood-tld-3. pbg4 is working on this topic on his NSA320.by bodhi - Debian

Paul, good to hear! Yes, I really like this application for the rPi. It is an excellent use for older rPi boards. If it's different, you might want to post the Dockstar cfg here, too.by bodhi - uBoot
pengu, Try this on NSA325v2 stock u-boot: mw.l f1010100 0020c000 usb start It should be the same in NSA320s. However, please make sure you do this on NSA320s while no other device is attached to the box, only the USB stick, as a precaution (I have not checked the source code to see if there is any differences in the 320s vs 325 at this memory location).by bodhi - Debian

Yes. But note that it does not come with SATA to USB cable. The snap-in stock base that comes with this enclosure is more expensive than a common 3rd party adapter.by bodhi - Off-Topic

Hi Jay, Sorry I forgot about this :) Yes, the idea is to flash my u-boot image and default envs image, and then merge only what is needed from davygravy's rescue system envs. Do you need help doing that?by bodhi - uBoot
