Did you create the USB rootfs using Debian-5.2.9-kirkwood-tld-1-rootfs-bodhi.tar.bz2 from the release thread?

At this point, I would say forget about stock OS for this Stora. Once you booted into Debian on USB, you can flash u-boot uboot.2017.07-tld-1.netgear_ms2110.mtd0.kwb permanently and run Debian on USB.

And then set it up to run on HDD if you like to do so.

Yes, i have done it like it is explained on 25 Aug. 2019 including step 4.

But at this point, i do not know how to boot it on my Stora.

Martin

Martin83,

Quote

Sending boot message. Please reboot the target...

So did you see anything more after this? did uboot.2017.07-tld-1.netgear_ms2110 start? please pos the serial console log of this kwboot attempt.

Martin83,

When you start kwboot and see:

root@lenovo-debian:/home/joker/Downloads/kwboot-tool# ./kwboot -t /dev/ttyUSB0 -b uboot.2017.07-tld-1.netgear_ms2110.mtd0.kwb -p
Sending boot message. Please reboot the target...

And then nothing happened, try Control-C and recall the command and execute again. Try this serval times.

There are Stora boxes that don't work with UART booting. So it is possible that this box is the version that does not.

That's when you power up or reset the device for booting.

I only experienced problems with kwboot when I forgot the -p parameter. Works like a charm.

Looks like you already overwritten the environment variables with the 2017 variables. So get your ext3 stick ready and boot after the injection.
