I have run a similar spec tablet as a media access device and i can honestly say that with the tight apps its a cracking device to use. You can also free up some of the memory uf you really need to by using a swap file. good bang for the buck - my younger relatives have similar spec devicesby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
this may be up your street. you could even use one of your thinclients to do the "heavy lifting" https://tvheadend.org/by Gravelrash - Off-Topic
if your tv supports MHL, then you should be good to go if you install linux on the phone using an app similar to this one below https://play.google.com/store/search?q=debian&c=appsby Gravelrash - Off-Topic

@joey i have been looking at that device link you gave earlier up. i think the only reason it quotes a 2TB limit is that it was originally aimed at Windows variants upto XP, which had a drive limit visibility of 2TB. So 2TB hdd's is a raid setup should work for you on the PogoPro, as this doesnt need port multiplication. Understanding Windows 2TB limit http://blogs.technet.com/b/asby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
sata 3 interface can support sata 1 and 2 devicesby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
if powersaving and cost is an issue.... how about 2 usb hubs each with 7 @ 128Gb thumb drives in a raid 1 + 0... should give plenty of space and be cheap too and relatively quick access times - at least it the limit of usb2 speed anywaysby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
i concur with bodhi - you need sata multiplication support to see more than one sata device using the above methodby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
phones can be funny things to work on i recommend asking that question over on the xda developers forum. having said that there are aps in the g**gle store, that will install a version of linux for you in a chroot environment and are accessed via an rdp client. if you do hack this to run linux natively, please report back and share your experiencesby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
@bodhi - I would like to echo Joey here, Thank you for all the hardwork and dedication you put into this forum and project. @Joey - Thanks for taking the risk on your new toy and showing us all the outputs.by Gravelrash - Off-Topic

@Joey I would/will be doing it in the following way 1 - do the uboot and debianisation first - this will allow clear access to the pins if you need to do any serial based recovery 2 - configure netconsole and check it works 3 - solder the resistor on when all happyby Gravelrash - Off-Topic

@all just been doing some visual inspection of where will be easiest to mount the resistor and if i am not mistaken top mounting will be the easiest, im basing this on not being near my plugs and on examining the pictures on this post http://mhassan.me/2012/11/17/pogoplug-v4-disassembly-and-attaching-serial-cable/ it looks as though there are holes that go through the board which have bby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
