I do like the glasses that bodhi shared, i wont be buying those as i dont think they will fit over my other spectacles and im sure i look like a mad scientist enough as it is - will be sticking with my trusted solderingby Gravelrash - Off-Topic

there are a couple of reasons why most devices top out at 32Gb price point of flash memory and the capabilities of the chip architecture, thats also why you dont see many - well thats starting to change - with more than 2Gb memory. oh and the andoid-x86 had it running on a dell netbook at 4.4.* for a while and its okby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
i second what bodhi said I use a few tablets / phone devices on the kit i have installed for others. and if you think of them as an all in one PC with a touch interface then all is possible - there are some tablets/phones that can be mad to and do run a variety of linuxen. Had no issues to speak of with the tablets starting from a single core A10 to a multicore iMX, as long as you downloadby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
i will give it some effort over the next few days.... "seek and ye shall find", or in my case look through the openwrt forum and follow the links :) http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/pogoplug/pogoplug_pogoplug_v3_pro_p01_p02 https://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05-rc3/oxnas/generic/ https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=54745 http://blog.qnology.com/2015/04by Gravelrash - Off-Topic
the only thing to watch out for joey is cable length, the maximum single length you can safely have without attenuation and signal degradation is 100metres bear in mind tho - that this is a theoretical maximum and will depend heavily on the qualtiy of cable and microvoltage delivered by the devices in question. so if you are doing 100ft expect some drop in signal with a lower quality cabby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
thanks joey if you could do a write up i am sure it will help others and me with the openwrt side of things it will probably make it into the wiki or howto that bodhi maintians i knew one day you would be able to offer something back :)by Gravelrash - Off-Topic

i understand what you are trying to acheive, can i offer the alternative of minidlna as your server of choice to feed the stuff via upnp/dlna thats something that is acheivable with the goflex boxes or you could just use xbmc on the raspi and share the library out any and all of these should work GeeXboX, an open source lightweight media center for Linux that supports DLNA Mediatby Gravelrash - Debian

ah a hack right in my back yard of ideas - for a cheap adjustable antenna centre. i would look to dismantle an old radio, the type with the telescopic areals, or take one from an old car. this will allow you to mount the usb adaptor at the end and feed the wires along the length or through the centre of it once the desired length has been attained you could then either glue or tape the secby Gravelrash - Off-Topic
