When I do a fw_printenv now, I got 2298 for arcNumber.by funtoy1001 - Debian
What happen if you have to power cycle the PC server?by funtoy1001 - Debian
After I re-installed uboot, I am able to reboot it and the LED turns green after it completed its boot process. Why would it not able to boot when I arcNumber to 2998? Was I supposed to something after "apt-get update" and "apt-get upgrade"? Thanks.by funtoy1001 - Debian
Did apt-get update, apt-get upgrade this morning. Everything seems to be OK except the LED is off after system is completed loaded and running. Did "fw_setenv arcNumber 2998" and reboot.... System is no longer able to restart, telnet or ssh to it are not responsive. Anyway to undo the fw_setenv? Thank you in advance. EDIT: reinstall uboot fixed the problem.by funtoy1001 - Debian
Maybe a stupid question. If I have Squeeze running on a Dockstar, this is not the script I would use to upgrade it to Wheezy, right?by funtoy1001 - Debian
Maybe because I have not visited the site for a while... How is the A10 tablet related to dockstar/pogoplug?by funtoy1001 - Debian
Thanks. Remount the partition to enable exec fixed the problem.by funtoy1001 - Debian
For my Dockstar, I have a USB stick for Debian and a HDD for data storage ( mount as /mnt/data). When I try to run a script form /mnt/data/some subdirectory, I got "Permission denied" but the same script will run fine if I put it anywhere on the USB stick. What is the reason I can't run script on my data drive?by funtoy1001 - Debian
Thank you for the suggestions but is rc.local executes before the scripts in /etc/rc*.d? If not, I don't think mounting the HDD in rc.local will work for me.by funtoy1001 - Debian
No, the log file is captured when I have the Coby DP-152 on the top port and the USB stick next to the ethernet port. The DockStar did boot (led is steady orange) but I can't SSH in and none of my samba shares are accessible from other machines. I did couple times this morning and was able to boot correctly with the Coby DP-152 removed. It seems the problem is with the mounting of the USB HDby funtoy1001 - Debian
Does the netconsole output show the loader thinks the Coby DP-152 as the boot drive?by funtoy1001 - Debian
Because of this thread, I took a look of my Dockstar and found something that I don't understand... My Setup. A Coby DP-152 picture frame is connected to the top/front USB port. A 8GB USB flash drive is connect the the USB port next to the ethernet port A 2 TB USB HDD is connected next to it. A Canon iP2600 printer is connected to the side USB port. As configured, the DockStar will nby funtoy1001 - Debian
Is the first partition of the WD HDD marked bootable by any chance? I thought uboot looks for that.by funtoy1001 - Debian
I also built asterisk late Jan 2012 on my pogoplug pro using twinclouds' guide without problem. Don't remember the version I build but I do know I didn't modfiy utils.c. One thing I do know is if I deselect all the modules and only select only the ones twinclouds specified, the resulted binary does not work. The only way I can have a workable binary is not to deselect anything andby funtoy1001 - Debian
Did you do step 6? 6. Set proper compilation for ARM platform: Code: # vi makeopts.in After opening the file, search for "PROC=" and change the line to be: Code: PROC=armby funtoy1001 - Debian
Did you read the thread always to the end? You don't need to modify utils.c anymore.by funtoy1001 - Debian
Thanks. Actually, I did the "'apt-get -f install" before I posted. Anyway, I have it running now after I did whole bunch of "apt-get clear", "apt-get autoremove"... I guess I have a broken install before and I didn't clean it up.by funtoy1001 - Debian

Hope this is not off-topic too much... I have been using Varkey's rootfs on my pogoplug pro for couple of weeks now and notice one thing. It seems to generate more log files than my dockstar. For example, I see daemon.log, debug, kern.log, mail.log, messages... on my pogoplug pro but not on my dockstar. I forgot if I did something to the debian on my dockstar to stop these files or not. How do you start transmission? Do you execute an script in /etc/init.d? If you just type "transmission-daemon" from a terminal, you will end up with settings.json at the location you start the program from.by funtoy1001 - Debian
Sorry I deleted my post as twinclouds was replying. I was having problem resize an USB stick after duplicate my current debian stick to it. I used GParted and have it working now.by funtoy1001 - Debian
Thanks. Another newbie question. If I duplicate the USB stick on my DockStar and change the MAC address, will it work on the Pogoplug Pro?by funtoy1001 - Debian
No luck with net console. If I don't plug in my archlinux or debian usb stikc, the LED on the Pogoplug Pro just blinks. Can not talk to it via telnet or ssh.by funtoy1001 - Debian
