OK I'll try that tomorrow. What I can expected ? Modify the uEnv.txt and boot without anything else ?by BillyIT - Debian
bodhi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Billy, > > The fact you can see 2 HDDs in Debian is pretty > good! Just what I expected. Are they number 1 and > 2 slots? NSA315 is only a 2 bay nas, so the u-boot will not have the configuration to find more ide disks ? i found a variable to say the max and maybe it's 2 on the NSA315 ? CONFIG_SYS_SATA_MAX_DEVICE for the ide reset I found this that someone adjust the timing to be successul : Quote 1. Adjusting some of the timings in drivers/block/mvsata_ide.c has allowed me to apparently solve a _small_by BillyIT - Debian
I tried to boot with my 4 disks (i thought maybe it need some disks to detect 3rd and 4th) root@Arc-170:~/tools# kwboot -t -B 115200 /dev/ttyUSB0 -b uboot.2017.07-tld-1.nsa325.mtd0.kwb -p Sending boot message. Hi Bodhi, I tried the two commands you gave me but the disk is not detected root@Arc-170:~/tools# kwboot -t -B 115200 /dev/ttyUSB0 -b uboot.2017.07-tld-1.nsa325.mtd0.kwb -p Sending boot message. Hi Bodhi, I will. BTW this commands are for writing to memory? How do you find this values ? What does they do exactly?by BillyIT - Debian
Hi Bodhi, I put the same disk on the fourth slot (as expected not working for now) : root@Arc-170:~/tools# kwboot -t -B 115200 /dev/ttyUSB0 -b uboot.2017.07-tld-1.nsa325.mtd0.kwb -p Sending boot message. ok, i'll do it tomorrow (after fixed my hdd not working correctly) i'll use a "lambda" hdd (not the rootfs label) to make test with the usb keyby BillyIT - Debian
ok one disk at a tiime or two disks : 1 and 4 together ? Thanks !by BillyIT - Debian
What's the next step ? So i can do it tomorrow i think I'll redo the hdd with the last DTB and all that like uEnv.txt step by step.by BillyIT - Debian

when i redo the code after stopping autoboot my disk is detected. Maybe i have not the same DTB on the two disks (usb and disks) i'll check U-Boot 2017.07-tld-1 (Sep 05 2017 - 00:42:03 -0700) ZyXEL NSA325 2-Bay Power Media Server SoC: Kirkwood 88F6282_A1 DRAM: 512 MiB WARNING: Caches not enabled NAND: 0 MiB *** Warning - readenv() failed, using default environment In:by BillyIT - Debian
ok i'm trying to make what you said but i think there is a missed parameters : i make a /boot/uEnv.txt but if i don't put the previous manual command, the rootfs is my usb key : U-Boot 2017.07-tld-1 (Sep 05 2017 - 00:42:03 -0700) ZyXEL NSA325 2-Bay Power Media Server SoC: Kirkwood 88F6282_A1 DRAM: 512 MiB WARNING: Caches not enabled NAND: 0 MiB *** Warning - readenv(by BillyIT - Debian
When i put the disk on slot2, it's ok When i put the disk on slot3, i'ts not ok (we already know it but just to remember it and give you log with new u-boot) root@Arc-170:~/tools# kwboot -t -B 115200 /dev/ttyUSB0 -b uboot.2017.07-tld-1.nsa325.mtd0.kwb -p Sending boot message. I was right that it was "normal" that disk wasn't recognised because of nsa DTB embedded. Now, i have my sdb detected correctly. I'll try to boot with the same disk in other spots to see if it's working. I read some errors about regulator and gpio access. Another thing, the u-boot sets the hardware mac address, it can't read it from device ? root@Arc-170:~/by BillyIT - Debian

I already did it and it doesn't work. Maybe because i have USB and HDD with roofs label ? I'll try to remove the HDD just to be sure about that : root@Arc-170:~/tools# kwboot -t -B 115200 /dev/ttyUSB0 -b uboot.2017.07-tld-1.nsa325.mtd0.kwb -p Sending boot message.
