So fedora and suse quickly went to the way side. Seemed to be really sluggish compared to all of the other distros I have running in a vm. Mint didn't stand a chance since it's ubuntu and the whole unity thing and nixing gnome (yes I like gnome). Right now arch seems to be doing well. The package system seems screwy but a few aliases fixed that. I used arch-anywhere after my fiby feas - Off-Topic
What does everyone use as their daily driver? I started out with sun o/s then solaris and HP back in the day for work and tried mandrake on my home pc but didn't care for it so I have been using Debian since. I must be getting old and grumpier cause I am tired of out dated packages and having them renamed for no real good reason and then having their documentation being ridiculously wronby feas - Off-Topic
You cant from their interface any more. You will need a serial cable to connect to as described: http://blog.qnology.com/2013/10/pogoplug-e02-v2-serial-connection.htmlby feas - uBoot

I must say there is huge speed increase when accessing it from the internet. That ethernet port must have been going for awhile. I removed my nextcloud server cause of speed issues and my webserver was painful loading too. I may need to reinstall nextcloud to see how it is now.by feas - Off-Topic
Setup up wireless on your Pogoplug E02 if you cant access internet. Copy the following files to a usb from a system with internet access. Note these are armel packages (when different) for Debian Jessie. It is best to install the libraries first to limit the chances of dependency requirements. dpkg -i file.deb libc6_2.19-18+deb8u6_armel.deb libdbus-1-3_1.8.20-0+deb8u1_armel.deb libby feas - Off-Topic

I had a ray of hope from the enlightenment of bodhi, one of those well of course moments, unfortunately it did not work. I tested two other cables and made sure they were not the culprit by using them to connect my laptop to the router. I have gotten apt-offline to work after shuttling dependency packages back and forth. Now off to find out how many packages dependencies are needed for wpasupby feas - Off-Topic
I think the network adapter is dead. I have the pogo configured to use 192.168.86.109 on boot. I even have my router configured to assign it the same. My router has it listed as varying ip's ( I can watch it cycle through different ip's every few seconds. Strangest thing my pogoplug all of a sudden started ip hopping. I could watch it rotate thru like 20 ip's. I have it set to manually use one vice getting one from the router. My ssh connection broke is why I noticed it. So I have unplugged it now thinking root kit as a worse case but I did do an update lastnight and am wondering if something broke. Thanks again. Seems it will always be a chicken an egg thing. I think style guides are the way to avoid confusion but there will always be those who still want to do it their own way. https://accu.org/index.php/journals/1445by feas - Off-Topic
I have been playing around with git and editing kernel files with the ./scripts/checkpatch.pl command. While most of the proposed edits seem pretty straight forward, there have been enough that are not, and make me nervous that I may be changing the function of some of the programs. For example: ERROR: "foo * bar" should be "foo *bar" INTERNAL_SIZE_T sz = n * eby feas - Off-Topic
They are indeed 4.4. I see what you are saying about copying with attributes intact. Guess it's just the way my defective noggin works so I know what was what before i mess with stuff. I did as you said and it works as would be expected. Sorry for the hassle not sure what went wrong the first time. if interested here is output now. I decided to upgrade to the new kernel and followed the 4a way since I have the current uboot installed. All seemed to go fine with no error messages so I did the 3 sync's and the shutdown.
