IC your point. I also suspect as you explained. It is very hard to spend an even $20 online. The problem with the loose change is your rebate Amex card will get some service charges the minute you use it the 1st time. I am not sure if you can use the rebate Amex card as a payment to a PayPal account. If so, then that will be great only if PayPal doesn't incur any service charges.by habibie - Debian

I just updated the OP to include a brief message about the missing package included in the firmware.by habibie - uBoot

Nice. When I get sometimes, I will definitely peruse this thread and use my DockStar as a test bed. Thank you all.by habibie - uBoot
@Bodhi and/or anyone, I run a make menuconfig on the Linux kernel source from my OpenWRT build source and I did not find any reference to Flatten Device Tree. Does this mean the OpenWRT firmware for the PogoPlug Pro doesn't support FDT?by habibie - uBoot

@Bodhi - Please feel free to move it to u-boot forum.by habibie - uBoot
I just built OpenWRT for PogoPlug Pro (openwrt-oxnas-bin.tar.xz -- 73.7 MB in size). It contains just basic rootfs + Linux kernels in /boot directory. Just download and untar to extract. I have not tried it yet. I am still playing around with my PogoPlug Pro P02 and will be about to flash uboot from Bodhi. Please let me know how this goes. ~ ls -la bin/oxnas/ total 197004 drwxr-xr-x 3 debianby habibie - uBoot

@bodhi - I am not sure exactly what you meant by PogoPlug software. If you meant PogoPlug services, you are right. However, the procedure is reversible so long as the the device runs on the stock firmware, AFAICT. I believe it is also possible to move the firmware to a USB stick and let the device run off from it to use the PogoPlug services.by habibie - Debian
Finally, I managed to enable SSH through a serial/console connection on my PogoPlug Pro P02 sans going through the registration on a PogoPlug site. Here is how I did it through a serial/console connection: Remount rootfs as read/write. Interestingly, I found out this isn't necessary through a serial/console. mount -o remount,rw / Apply this patch to disable the hbwd --- a/usr/local/cloudeby habibie - Debian
After rebuilding and reflashing my FON2100, I can now use it to connect to the serial console on my PogoPlug Pro P02. What surprises me is the original firmware on my PogoPlug Pro P02 is full of garbage files that are of 0 size in almost every directories. The rootfs (/) directory is as shown below. I wonder if it is safe to remove them. / # ls -la -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jaby habibie - Debian
