Hi @saudagar, Did you really have issue with your Pogoplug Mobile following the tutorial or did you only wanted to revert because you actually want to use the my.pogoplug.com service? Getting another Pogoplug is the quickest and easiest solution. If you want to use the my.pogoplug.com (which I actually recommend). It's best to buy two Pogoplug Mobiles. On Pogoplug 1#, keep the defaby grayman4hire - Debian
Where does it state anything about a "revert" folder? Here is what is stated in the comment - "You will not be able to revert or boot the default Pogoplug OS using this uBoot." The simple solution is for you to spend $7 and buy yourself a new Pogoplug Mobile if you want to use the my.pogoplug.com service.by grayman4hire - Debian

I'm using a Pogoplug E02 to run the kwboot binary. I got the precompiled binary from davy's kwboot thread - http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,7852,7852 Serial is connected to my Pogoplug Mobile 4 which I'm experimenting with. The uboot.bin is from Pogoplug v4 Arch Linux ARM installation scripting (http://archlinuxarm.org/os/ppv4/ppv4-install.sh),specifically this bin - http://aby grayman4hire - uBoot
I'm getting the following. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks # kwboot -t /dev/ttyUSB0 -b uboot.bin Sending boot message. Please reboot the target...| Sending boot image... 0 % [+++++++++++++++++xmodem: Bad messageby grayman4hire - uBoot
samba is fairly simple to install apt-get install samba edit the smb.conf in /etc/samba/ or use mine https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42238/pogoplug/debian/smb.conf (open to all, share root$ and usb @ /media/usb/share) mpg_streamer is a little more complex as I had to compile it myself. I plan to write a tutorial in the near future. Hang tight.by grayman4hire - Debian
You'll probably get better support from the owncloud forum. I tried owncloud on my Pogoplug E02 and it was way too slow for me. Also the iPhone app was crap too. I just ended up using the build in Cloud Engine service (my.pogoplug.com).by grayman4hire - Debian
Thanks for posting this. Can you clarify if this is for the Pogoplug Series 4 or Mobile or does it even matter? Also, what are the instructions for restoring the various mtd partitions back? Thanksby grayman4hire - uBoot
The trick to getting around the Windows 7/8 compatibility is to use another pogoplug (as documented in the blog) to recover your bad pogoplug. Very convenient because I mainly work from my couch using a (windows 8) laptop which doesn't need to be tethered to the broken pogoplug. I ssh into my good pogoplug and then start a screen session to connect to the bad pogoplug via serial. jeepsby grayman4hire - uBoot
I'm a little confused regarding the mtd partitions. So can we leave the mtd partition as stock? bodhi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > gulizi, > > This is what was defined by kref (the orginal > author), so I kept it the same: > > mtd0: 00e00000 00020000 "boot" > mtd1: 07200000 00020000 "data" > >by grayman4hire - uBoot

That's my Pogoplug family photo :) I got a few more blog/tutorials lined up but haven't had time to publish them yet. One of them will be on Debian on the E02. The issue is the following: Loading file "/boot/uImage" from mmc device 0:1 (xxa1) ** File not found /boot/uImage At the very least "/boot/uImage" should be found on the SD Card. Try reformatting your SDCard and extracting the rootfs on it again. Also, I've noticed that not all SDCard will behave the same, so try another SD Card if you have it.by grayman4hire - Debian
They should have kept that feature in the new uBoot installation script. Lots of confusion since prior with Jeff's uBoot and installation script it magically just worked.by grayman4hire - uBoot
Sorry, you mentioned ArchLinuxArm and then Rescue System v2.8.2 so I was a little confused. The rescue system is actually based on Debian not ALARM. Doesn't look like the rescue system has apt-get or the ability to install additional packages. Davy's rescue system is tiny, <32MB so probably the limiting factor.by grayman4hire - Rescue System
Hello, I would like to request that the full blown wget be added (versus the wget provided by busybox) for https support, now that dropbox is redirecting all http downloads to https. Thanks grayby grayman4hire - Rescue System

On you ALARM system, install wget - pacman -Sy wget BTW, does anyone have a recommendation for a free http only file hosting service? Does Google, Dropbox, Box.net or MS provide http file hosting?by grayman4hire - Rescue System
Hi @varkey, Did you get anywhere with this? Are you using the stock uboot on your Pogoplug Mobile? Did you end up successfully booting another linux distro from NAND after re-partitioning mtd? Please share. Thanks grayby grayman4hire - Debian
Thanks for the clarification and sorry for the confusion. Booting the default Pogoplug OS is a nice to have (and for educational purposes), but ultimately I would prefer to boot a debian or openwrt based rescue system straight from NAND.by grayman4hire - uBoot
FYI - the issue is that recently dropbox changed something on their end where all http urls are redirected to https urls. The wget provided by busybox (used by the default Pogoplug OS), doesn't support https/ssl. If you're running debian/alarm you can download the full wget. I tried opening a ticket with Dropbox on this issue and got an automated reply, which I found a little amusingby grayman4hire - Rescue System
Thanks for the reply @bodhi. Sorry, I'm a little confused what moonman's approach to running the my.pogoplug.com service has anything to do with this thread (I did ask about porting it to Debian in another thread though - http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,16449 - should be possible too i think).
